Hiring Agreement
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. HIRE PERIOD & RETURNS
1.1 Equipment must be returned by the agreed return date and time. Late returns will incur additional daily hire charges.
1.2 The Hirer is responsible for ensuring equipment is ready for collection at the agreed time or returned to the agreed location.
2. OWNERSHIP
2.1 All hired equipment remains the property of Alpine Hire at all times.
2.2 The Hirer has no right to sell, transfer, or dispose of the equipment.
3. CONDITION OF EQUIPMENT
3.1 Equipment is hired in good working condition and must be returned in the same condition, fair wear and tear excepted.
3.2 The Hirer must inspect equipment upon receipt and report any damage or faults immediately.
3.3 Equipment must be returned clean and in the same condition as delivered.
4. HIRER'S RESPONSIBILITIES
4.1 The Hirer is responsible for the safe keeping and proper use of all hired equipment.
4.2 Equipment must not be used for any illegal purpose or in any manner that could cause damage.
4.3 The Hirer must take reasonable care to prevent loss, theft, or damage to the equipment.
5. DAMAGE, LOSS & REPLACEMENT
5.1 The Hirer is liable for any loss, theft, or damage to equipment during the hire period.
5.2 Replacement costs will be charged for lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair equipment.
5.3 Repair costs will be charged for damaged equipment that can be repaired.
6. PAYMENT TERMS
6.1 Payment is due prior to or upon delivery/collection of equipment unless otherwise agreed.
6.2 A bond/deposit may be required and will be refunded upon safe return of equipment in good condition.
6.3 Additional charges for late returns, damage, or missing items will be invoiced separately.
7. CANCELLATION
7.1 Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to delivery/collection may incur a cancellation fee.
7.2 Alpine Hire reserves the right to cancel this agreement if payment is not received as agreed.
8. LIABILITY
8.1 Alpine Hire is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of hired equipment.
8.2 The Hirer indemnifies Alpine Hire against all claims arising from the hire and use of equipment.
9. BATTERIES & CONSUMABLES
9.1 Equipment requiring batteries is provided with batteries included in hire price.
9.2 Equipment returned with flat/dead batteries may incur a replacement fee of $2-5 per item.
